Gorgeous Anthropologie Vase

Half Bath: Fresh Start

Laundry Room Pondering

The Dog Ate My Homework

As I <a href="http://dans-le-townhouse.blogspot.com/2011/03/art-attack-newspaper-art.html">hinted at this weekend</a>, I was a Captain Distracto.  In lieu of marking on Friday, I went to an antique show.  In lieu of marking Saturday afternoon, I went for a long walk with a friend, then took her grocery shopping for heavy stuff (she is car-less).  But, Saturday night and Sunday morning I put pen to paper & got my marking done!  (Not that there won't be more headed my way . . . )<br /><br />So, I did work on a painting.  But I ran out of white paint and, all grubby & covered in paint, I just threw in the towel.  I'll buy some paint soon, and I'll work on it again next weekend.  But, here's a sneak peak:<br /><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; Amazing Kitchen Renovation

There's a New Chair in There

The guestroom has a new addition: the vintage teak chair with new upholstery.  It seems picking the fabric was the hard part (see <a href="http://dans-le-townhouse.blogspot.com/2010/12/fabric-of-our-lives.html">here</a> and <a href="http://dans-le-townhouse.blogspot.com/2010/12/youre-one-that-i-want.html">here</a>).  The fabric was ordered, and the chair was professionally, recovered within a week.  Yes, I had the chair professionally recovered.  I'd be ashamed if I wasn't so darn excited.  But a good DIY-er knows when they are over their head (take a look at the close ups).  Plus, we have sooooo many projects in the townhouse, if this were left in our hands it might not see the light of day for years (that's actually how I got it: another DIY gal realized she'd never get around to tackling it, and <a href="http://dans-le-townhouse.blogspot.com/2010/12/hejda-ikea-chair.html">sold it to me</a>!).<br /><br />So, remember <a href="http://dans-le-townhouse.blogspot.com/2010/11/guest-bedroom-before-after.html">the guestroom</a>?  Here's a memory booster:<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both;
