It's a half apron! What do you all think? Not bad for a first sewing project, eh? I did it entirely from scratch too! I went to JoAnn Fabrics and got all the stuff I thought I'd need and just came home and put it together in a few hours. I don't want it to take hours ever again. So, I better learn to use that machine STAT! Now... how does all this relate to vintage decor and fashion? After all, this is a vintage decor and fashion blog. Well, vintage and aprons go together like flocks of a feather, don't they? Aprons are a symbol of times past. They do seem to be making quite the comeback today, I've noticed. Anthropologie sells gorgeous, unique ones (http://www.anthropologie.com/). I actually buy my aprons there for work at the shop. Target is now selling some pretty nifty ones too! (http://www.target.com/). They aren't just great to wear while doing cleaning around the house, painting a canvas or cooking a meal and coloring with the kids, but they make wonderful and unique accessories to any home. Especially to the kitchen! I hang mine from a hook next to my stove. You can also use them as curtains to a small kitchen window. They come in so many beautiful colors and patterns. The possibilities are endless!
Happy Decorating!
