OK, I think Braxton has teased you enough - it's time for the reveal of our new/old danish(ish) mid century modern dining room furniture.  Sorry about the quality of these pictures.  To flash or not to flash seems to be the question, unfortunately I've no idea what the answer is.
We found these pieces in the back room of our favorite "antique" store - the back room!  As if nobody loved them.  So, we walked around them all cool like, saying things such as "these are kind of nice" and "not exactly what I had in mind but maybe..."  when on the inside we were all "hot damn, are you seeing this?".
Not crazy about the fabric here, but they are not entirely unfortunate either.
We're looking for the perfect lamp to replace the cheapo glass thingy.
Maybe this is a better pic.
 It's all about the details!
Wanted you to see how pretty this wood is.
Before we wresteled gently put the console in the car, Braxton took out the drawers.  Behind one of the drawers was a stack of papers from the previous owners.  God, I love when that happens!  So, of course I nosily read every paper, and found out quite a bit about old Richard and Maude.  They were married in 1950 and lived in the next town.  I bet they got these as a wedding present!  I found out where she worked and what year she was born - there was even a recipe and a naughty joke about Jimmy Carter.  You just don't get stuff like that from a furniture store!
Anyway, we are thrilled and are looking forward to the hunt for that lamp and perhaps a bar cart for the corner and a starburst clock - oh and a rug one day - you know just a few little things.

Happy 1-11-11 everyone.  We have always considered multiple 1's to be a sign from the universe that we are on the right path.  Does anyone else love multiple 1's?
Peace,
Yancey
