So I decided I'd share my day with you all. As you can see, I took pictures for most of the day. : ) I started by making some cards for my etsy shop. I went to Anthropologie to buy my sister birthday presents and ended up buying some stuff for myself as well. I got the fabulous handmade Brazilian lamp for $150. It normally runs for $548. I'm serious! I would never buy it for $548! Even $150 seemed very steep for me. But, I could not believe the mark down and I just fell in love. I'm weak, I know. I also went to Blue Moon, where I spend my Sundays, and purchased a very old medicine cabinet painted in vintage teal. It's for the guest bathroom. I'll put a picture of it in here as soon as the bathroom is finished. It's also a fabulous piece! My day wrapped up eventually by playing with the dogs and cat, annoying all of them with my camera, and making myself something to munch on. Now I am writing to you all and then I will snuggle up with my new copy of Cottage Style. It was a fantastic week. My house has new wood floors throughout. The A/C is fixed. The electrical outlets are fixed. Sigh... breath of fresh air. It feels like a new house. I am so grateful. Next comes the patios and some odds and ends here and there. Wish me luck! Has anyone else recently undergone a renovation of their house? How did you all handle it!?!? It's stressful! Not to mention... costly. : ( Well... off I go into my nice bed to read a beautiful magazine that will inspire me "a la vintage" before I enter dreamland.
Happy Decorating,
Mina
