When my grandfather passed about 2 years ago, we had to go into his home and clear a lot of things out so that our grandmother could move in with the family and sell most of her belongings. While rummaging through piles and piles of stuff they'd accumulated in the 50 years that they were married, the most precious treasures I found were old family photos. I respectfully asked my grandmother if I could keep some of these wonderful pictures and she graciously agreed. Here I've posted only a fraction of all the pictures I found. I have framed many of the pictures I've kept and placed them throughout my home. I've also created a sort of photo collage of old pictures that I hung to the wall on an old piece of a vintage crib.
Vintage photos are a fabulous way to give your vintage decor that extra vintage charm. It sort of gives your look a bit of authenticity, if you will. Besides that, it is a fantastic conversation piece for guests and it brings memories of loved ones every time you glance at them. Get all of those pictures out of the boxes in the attic and do something beautiful with them. Trust me, it's worth it.Happy Decorating,
