Chandeliers. A work of art, if you ask me. I have one over my dining room table, one above my bed and one above the guest room bed. They add a certain vintage charm to a space that cannot be brought by any other piece. The wonderful thing about these decorative pieces (besides the fact that they're practical) is that they come in so many different shapes, sizes, colors and styles. I think anyone can find one they like. I happen to love vintage looks and thus I posted vintage chandeliers for your eyes to feast on. All these are available at the little shop where I happen to work (Blue Moon). However, chandeliers such as these can be found in your hometown as well. Just browse local antique shops, flea markets and garage sales. You will have to re-wire these beauties most of the time. Simply because most of them are so old that the electrical wiring in them has been spent. Take it from me! I bought a gorgeous antique lamp and did not re-wire it. It worked fine and so I didn't feel it was necessary. That was until it gave out on me about a year later and messed up all the electrical outlets in my living room! So... re-wire! It would be the smart thing to do. I hope I've inspired you with these pictures to go out and search for that perfect chandelier to fill that special corner. Hint: They look amazing in restrooms! Especially little powder rooms. That's because it's an unexpected place to put them. So, they make quite an impact there. Welcome to 2008 everyone! Have a blessed New Year!
Happy Decorating!
