Alas! My sitting room decor has come to its conclusion. Well, for now that is. Knowing me, some fabulous vintage item will come along and change everything. However, I am more than pleased with the results. It took a long time to get here, trust me. Bridgite (with the difficult French pronunciation please) is the newest addition to our family. She is a dress form mannequin from circa 1930's- early 40's. Her base is cast iron with wheels. The cast iron lists the address of the designer and the city... New York City! I found her at Blue Moon on Sunday when I went into work and I had to get her for my vintage decor!! For $150 I thought she was a steal! So, I came home and dressed her up in an Anthropologie dish towel and some quilted ribbon for her neck! The rest of the items in these pictures are pieces that have actually been passed down to me by my mother. She was a collector of antiques in her thirties and then married my step-dad who hates antiques. Bad for her and great for me! I get to keep it all! I'm still working on painting the coffee table white (as you can see, I got started and never finished). I shall hopefully get that done soon. So! The house is ready for a fabulous Birthday party this weekend! All vintage linens, beautiful china and unique glasses and goblets. It's going to be vintage charm heaven.... : )
